NARAL Pro-Choice Montana, a 501(c)(4) organization, is the political leader of the pro-choice movement in Montana. Our mission is to develop and sustain a constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive health choices, including preventing unintended pregnancies, bearing healthy children and choosing legal abortion. We are looking for a creative, upbeat, pro-choice individual to fill the position of Development Intern in our Helena office for the summer. Internships with NARAL Pro-Choice Montana allow you to build your resume and gain valuable professional experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Help identify membership-building opportunities and execute activities Assist in membership renewal program Assist with fundraising events for NPCM and PAC Recruit volunteers for fundraising-related NARAL activities Track donations, maintain up-to-date records on donors Aid in writing and sending thank you Organize and maintain the office in an efficient and functional manner Assist Executive Director and Development Director as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strong personal commitment to a woman’s right to choose Strong computer skills including Word and Excel Strong communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to and comfort calling strangers Ability to work independently Attention to detail Experience in fundraising a plus but not required.
The Development Intern is expected to devote between 10-15 hours per week to working in the office.
